Investment Detective supports multiple portfolios and you need to select a portfolio to add a property to first.

When ID is installed for the first time there is a default portfolio called “Properties”, click on this tab and you will be able to add a new property.

There is only one field for rental income on the budget page, if you calculate the expected rental income for the year and then divide by 52, (if you click tha calculator button next to the field it will help you do this) that will give the average weekly rental income.

Principal payments is the amount repayed of the principal for the period. There is a bug, (fixed for the next release), that still shows an amount for principal payments on the budget page even if Interest Only is selected.

You do not need to resize the left panel as doing so will not reveal any more information.
